Mural Arts studio is known for inspired research and design development we bring to each project. Virtually all of the work we do is custom according to requirements of each art installation. We begin developing concept artwork by presenting sketches along with color and finish samples. Once approved, we then create a scaled full color maquette of the mural or mosaic as preliminary art. Final, full scale mural artwork is begun after approval of the preliminary art. Vitreous glass tiles and other color glass tile mosaic samples are provided for approval.
As mural printers, we strive to be the best. Mural printing is best achieved by a mural artist that is familiar with the optimum layout of seams.
As Mural Installation Specialists we install canvas murals, wall covering murals and digital print murals. At Mural Arts, we use the finest materials and techniques to insure a durable and long lasting artwork. Our murals for restaurants and commercial interiors are Class "A" fire rated. We apply (by hand) a washable, UV protective sealer to all mural installations.

Applying gold leaf to a painted mural surface
Mural Arts provides gold leaf gilding on moldings and mill work. These murals were painted on canvas in the Mural Arts studio and installed on the walls and ceiling.
Cost of a mural or custom artwork varies with consideration to size, level of detail, and type of installation. A mural is generally more than 50-square feet in size. Cost of a hand painted mural of that size is about $80.00 per square foot or $4,000.00. Cost of a glass tile mosaic is more and ranges from $200.00 to over a thousand dollars per square foot. Mural Arts incorporates 24k gold leaf tile as well as metallic and iridescent glass tile in many of our mosaic projects.
Mural Arts studio develops custom and special finishes for all kinds of applications and surfaces. Sometimes called 'faux finishes' these techniques are applied to enhance wall surfaces, moldings, millwork or cast GFRC products. Other special finishes include metal leaf gilding such as 23k gold leaf. Often a patina finish is applied to gilding or other paint finishes to lend an antique or rusticated appeal.
